Indiana Dunes
Audrey’s greatest things: Um, I liked fishin’ and I got four fish. We were playin’ in the sand, and I liked our cabin ’cause my bed was so cool. Goin’ swimmin’ in the pool. Just go with the flow . . . I liked pickin’ up the rocks in my bucket (at the Grand Mere State Park Beach).
AJ: I liked simming in the pool and lake, and kayaking. The fishing was fun – I caught 6 fish in like one hour. I liked the go karting after Grand Mere beach, and I beat dad. Also liked the loft in the cabin.
Mom: I liked seeing Ace swim for the first time (in Lake Michigan at Central Beach), and watching AJ kayak, and seeing Audrey catch her first fish. Also like the hike to the beach at Grand Mere State park over the ‘extremely hot’ sand dunes, and riding the bumper boats with the kids on the way home.
Dad: I liked discovering Central Beach of Indiana Dunes on the way out on the trip. We took Ace and walked over a huge grassy sand dune, and there was a private little beach nestled under the dunes with a view of Chicago in the distance. Also liked the Grand Mere trail with the 1 mile-ish hike through the sandy hills on the way to the beach. Was great to see AJ and Audrey catching fish.
